There are several spots around downtown where I'd love to photograph a family or maternity session. These would be best for families with kids who can be held entire session or who are old enough to trust not to run into traffic. Examples of areas are: Courthouse, San Pedro Creek, Peacock Alley. These sessions take place mid-morning, preferably on a weekday.
I'm looking for a family or two who is vacationing in West Texas to book a session while they visit Big Bend, Marfa, White Sands, or Davis Mountains. The first family to book me will have their session fee waived and only need to pay my travel fee (covers my ability to stay overnight).
Located outside Fredericksburg, this beautiful park offers scenic views of the hill country. A sunrise session is ideal in warmer months, but golden hour is magical. I'll waive a travel fee for the first family to book a session here, follows my wardrobe advice, and signs my model release
The Missions are an iconic backdrop for sessions but there are a few Need to Knows before you settle on this option. First sessions are only allowed between 9 am and 4:30 pm, when the sunlight is harsh. Second, you need to apply for a permit at minimum two weeks in advance. The permit fee costs $50 and is non-refundable. There is an additional $50 for the location (this number is subject to change). These costs will be included on your invoice as I will need to submit the application as the photographer. Lastly, if there is a wedding or event happening on the day of your session, you cannot have a session. The park will notify me when your application is being processed.
The Alamo does not allow portrait photography except for special events.
This favorite hangout spot in San Antonio has a lot to offer for photos but it's not a good fit for most sessions. I will also only do sessions at this location on weekday mornings. Since it is such a popular spot, it has become too crowded for majority of sessions. It can also be extremely distracting for children
